Town have named an 18-man squad for the trips to Leeds on Saturday and Burnley on Tuesday. Dutch defender Fabian Wilnis is available again after his groin injury, while young right winger Danny Haynes keeps his place.

Boss Joe Royle confirmed that the Blues will appeal Sito's red card against Norwich. The Town manager says he is unsure that there was any contact between the Spaniard and Canaries striker Kevin Lisbie in the 18th minute incident which all but handed the game to the visitors.

Ten-man Town were unlucky to be on the end of a 1-0 defeat to Norwich City at Portman Road. Once again the Blues were on the end of poor derby refereeing, Sito controversially seeing red on 18. Darren Huckerby scored the only goal in a second half largely controlled by Town.

Town go looking for their first home derby victory over Norwich City in seven years on Sunday (KO midday). Since Alex Mathie's first half hat-trick inspired the Blues to that famous 5-0 win in 1998, Town have beaten the Canaries only once, 2-0 at Carrow Road in 2002/03.

Bad light halted play for 40 minutes at Portman Road as Town and Southampton got into the Ashes spirit. Once the floodlight problem had been rectified, the teams shared four goals, Richard Naylor and Owen Garvan netting for the Blues.

Boss Joe Royle had no complaints at Sheffield United's 2-0 defeat of his Town side at Bramall Lane. However, Royle did feel his side might have had a second penalty in the first half when Jason De Vos appeared to be fouled.

Darren Currie missed a penalty and Sito was sent off as two Steve Kabba goals saw league leaders Sheffield United to a 2-0 victory over the Blues. Despite large periods of possession in rain-sodden conditions, Town rarely troubled United keeper Paddy Kenny.

Neither Lewis Price nor Jaime Peters were involved as their international sides fell to defeats on Saturday. Price wasn't named in the Wales 16 which lost 1-0 to England, while Peters was an unused sub in Canada's 2-1 defeat in Spain.

Boss Joe Royle admitted that his Town side were well beaten by Preston despite controlling things early on. Preston struck twice just after the half hour mark and the Blues never recovered, conceding two more goals, one in each half.
